NSFC-RSE Collaborative Research Initiative in Energy Technology and Management

   
   

According to MOU of National Science Fund Committee (NSFC) and Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE), the call focuses on Energy Technology and Management. RSE will provide 6,000 GBP annually, including cost of living for Chinese researchers in the UK and UK researchers in China. The programme will last from May 1, 2013 to April 30, 2015. NSFC-ANR Joint Research in Green ICT
   
   

According to the French National Research Agency (ANR) and NSFC bilateral agreement, the programme aims to promote research cooperation in Green Information Technology. The concrete fields are hardware and software infrastructures for the digital society with a focus on Green ICT. The programme will last from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2017. Applications should be submitted before January 30, 2013.

    NSFC-IUPAC Collaborative Research Projects in Sustainable Chemistry    
   

According to the agreement between NSFC China, São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP, Brazil), National Science Foundation (NSF, USA), German Research Foundation (GFD, Germany) and International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), the five organizations will jointly fund collaborative scientific research in the sustainable chemistry field, starting from 2013. The focus of this funding in 2013 is Novel Molecular and Supramolecular Theory and Synthesis Approaches for Sustainable Catalysis. The programme will last from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2016. Letters of intent should be sent before January 14, 2013, and full proposals should be submitted before March 29, 2013.

NSFC- EPSRC Collaborative Research Projects in Smart Grids and the Integration of Electric Vehicles
   
   

To promote the Chinese and British scientists to carry out substantive cooperation in research, NSFC and the UK Engineering and Physical Research Council (EPSRC) will jointly fund collaborative research projects. The duration of the projects should be from July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2016. The funded topic is Smart Grids and the Integration of Electric Vehicles. Applications should be submitted before January 22, 2013

Generally speaking, the applicant will be required to fill in a standard application form designated by the national agency managing the programme, and submit it with the required documents to the secretariat of the national agency or a host organization of the funding programme.

NSFC-RSE Collaborative Research Initiative in Energy Technology and Management

  • Parallel submission of applications by Chinese and English applicants is required.
  • Chinese applicant needs to log on (http://isis.nsfc.gov.cn) to fill the form, submit the resume of the Chinese applicant and the English applicant and published articles (no more than 6), print out all materials and mail to NSFC before January 18, 2013.

NSFC-ANR Joint Research in Green ICT

  • There is an institutional quota of five submissions.
  • Parallel submission of applications by the Chinese and French applicants is required.
  • Chinese applicant needs to log on http://isis.nsfc.gov.cn to fill the form, upload the attachment in English, upload all materials, print them out, and mail to NSFC. The deadline is January 30, 2013.  

NSFC-IUPAC Collaborative Research Projects

  • The applications should be jointly made by scientists from at least three of the aforementioned countries.
  • Letters of intent should be sent to proposal@iupac.org before January 14, 2013.
  • Full proposals for eligible projects should be sent to proposal@iupac.org before March 29, 2013.

NSFC- EPSRC Collaborative Research Projects

  • The application should be submitted by both Chinese scientists and English scientists.
  • The application should be in both Chinese and English and the two versions should be consistent.
