NSFC ‐ISF Joint Scientific Research Program


The program is activated due to an agreement of cooperation between National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Israel Science Foundation (ISF), and is funded by the Chinese and Israeli governments, through the two funding agencies, each funding its own scientists according to their respective regulations. The program aims to encourage research cooperation between Israeli and Chinese scientists.

Health and Medical Research Fund

The Health and Medical Research Fund (HMRF), managed by a Research Council, aims to build research capacity and to encourage, facilitate and support health and medical research to inform health policies, improve population health, strengthen the health system, enhance healthcare practices. All grant applications undergo a two-tier peer review process to ensure scientific rigor and standards.

The deadline for application is March 31st, 2014.

Sino-German Center For Research Promotion Young Scientist Forum

The SGC (jointly established by DFG and NSFC) supports the organization of workshops by early career researchers preparing further scientific cooperation between Germany and China. The workshops should take place either in Germany or in China. Events must have a specific topic and lead scientists at an early stage of a promising career together.

Proposals should be submitted at least 3 months before the date of the proposed event

Getting Involved
    Generally speaking, the applicant will be required to fill in a standard application form designated by the national agency managing the programme, and submit it with the required documents to the secretariat of the national agency or a host organization of the funding programme.

1. The Chinese applicant must possess an academic title of professor or associate professor
2. The Chinese applicant must be the PI of an on‐going or completed NSFC research grant which duration is more than 3 years
