The Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) jointly offer the possibility to apply for bilateral Chinese-Austrian Joint Research Projects. In 2015 proposals for Joint Projects in the following thematic areas can be submitted: experimental physics and from biomedical research to translational medicine.

Chinese Government Scholarship—Bilateral Program includes a full or partial scholarship established by MOE in accordance with educational exchange agreements or MOUs between Chinese government and governments of other countries, institutions, universities or international organizations.

    Generally speaking, the applicant will be required to fill in a standard application form designated by the national agency managing the programme, and submit it with the required documents to the secretariat of the national agency or a host organization of the funding programme.

1. Projects should combine the complementary expertise of the project partners.
2. Chinese applications must log in http://isisn.nsfc.gov.cn/egrantweb/ and fill the online application form.
3. The title and the text of the scientific part (narrative text) must be identical. The narrative text must be written in English.

2. English applicaton form and cooperation agreement should be provided.
3. The same scientific proposal shall be submitted to each agency according to their own submission rules and deadlines. Proposals submitted to only one country will not be eligible.
4. The consortium shall include at least one French partner and one foreign partner concerned by the bilateral agreement.
5. The full proposal must be declared eligible by both funding agencies.

1. A UK based lead partner and a China based lead partner, should be identified each of whom will lead on interaction with the funding agency in their respective countries.
2. The UK based lead partner should ensure the application is submitted via the Je-S system.
3. The China based lead partner will submit the identical proposal using the same common proposal format to NSFC by the stipulated closing date.
4. Both applications should feature an identical case for support written in English.
