NSFC – RS and the Academy of Medical Sciences Newton Advanced Fellowship
   
   

This scheme is for non-UK scientists who are at an early stage of their research career and wish to conduct research in the UK. The scheme provides the opportunity for the best early stage post-doctoral researchers from all over the world to work at UK research institutions for a period of two years. The scheme covers a broad range of the natural, physical, and social sciences, and the humanities. It also covers clinical and patient orientated research for applicants from Newton Fund partner countries.

CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI) Category A: PIFI for Distinguished Scientists
   
   

The CAS President’s International Fellowship for Distinguished Scientists supports leading international scientists to conduct a lecture tour at CAS for 1-2 weeks. Each professor is invited to visit at least two CAS-affiliated institutions (research institutes or universities) to lecture and interact with CAS researchers and postgraduate students. He or she is also expected to host CAS postdoctoral researchers at CAS expenses at his or her lab for a research stay of 1-3 months.

This fellowship provides each awardee with a stipend of ¥50,000 per week, to cover all expenses for this lecture tour, including a round-trip international airfare, accommodation, meals, transportation and honorarium.

Getting Involved
   
    Generally speaking, the applicant will be required to fill in a standard application form designated by the national agency managing the programme, and submit it with the required documents to the secretariat of the national agency or a host organization of the funding programme.

2. The Chinese party must have an ongoing NSFC grant whose duration overlaps with the duration of the mobility grant with no less than one year.
