Food Waste Recycling Projects in Housing Estates in Hong Kong

The objective of the Projects is to facilitate housing estates to set up on-site composters to treat food waste collected from households. The Projects also aim to provide funding support for hiring personnel and purchasing equipment, such as containers, necessary for the collection of food waste, as well as organising educational programmes for encouraging participation from residents and raising residents’ awareness towards food waste recovery. There is no deadline for application.

Fellowship for Young International Scientists

The aim of the Fellowship is to promote academic exchange and cooperation between CAS institutes and international research institutions and universities, and the development of talented scientists, by attracting young international scientists to conduct a period of cooperative research at CAS institutes. The application period is from 1 September to 15 September 2013.

Getting Involved
    Generally speaking, the applicant will be required to fill in a standard application form designated by the national agency managing the programme, and submit it with the required documents to the secretariat of the national agency or a host organization of the funding programme.    
China-Czech Republic Science and Technology Cooperation Programme

1. The Chinese and Czech applicants should hand in application to the local scientific authority department. The English project names, Chinese and Czech cooperation organizations and applicants in the application materials should be the same
2. Fill out the government scientific cooperation form and project profile
3. Submit the government scientific cooperation form to China Science and Technology Exchange Center, and send the electronic version to lic@cstec.org.cn

Fellowship for Young International Scientists

There are two application routes for the Fellowships. Applications may be submitted by a CAS host institute or by a designated international partner institution of the CAS.

1. Applications from host institutions: a host institute may submit applications taking into account its needs and capacity and the level of its cooperation and communication with a given candidate.

2. Applications from foreign partner institutions: CAS will invite key international partner institutions to nominate potential visitors.

Applications from CAS institutes and international partner institutions are to be submitted to the Bureau of International Cooperation, CAS, during two specific periods each year. The first round of applications is from March 1-15 and the second is from September 1-15.
