Dragon-Star Plus will provide the EC and the Member States with tools for setting a long term cooperation strategy with China in research and innovation. The proposed activities take into account the current on-going policy dialogue and the peculiarities of the research and innovation environment in China, and are based upon the outputs and the established mechanism of the previous DRAGON-STAR project.

NSFC-RS Joint Research Programme

   
   

NSFC has signed the cooperation agreement with RS in order to promote collaborative research programme among the scientists. The programme is intended to stimulate new collaborations between Chinese scientist and UK. It is not intended to support continued research between a UK applicant and co-applicant who was a former colleague or PhD student or to support other existing or recent collaborations between the applicant and co-applicant. The field of cooperation is not limited. Chinese applicants funding for each project will not exceed 100,000 RMB. For UK applicants, funding will not exceed 6,000 pounds.

NSFC-NWO-RCUK Joint Research Programme
   
   

NSFC has signed the cooperation agreement with NWO and RCUK in order to promote collaborative research among the scientists. The fields of joint cooperation pregame focus on sustainable deltas. The fund of each project from Chinese applocations should not exceed 300 million RMB.

General Research Fund (GRF)
   
   

The RGC's main objective is to fund as many worthy projects as possible across a broad front within the funds available. Nevertheless, projects of exceptional merit will be funded more fully than other projects. Applications for research project grants are assessed by the relevant subject panel assisted by a number of external experts from all over the world. The RGC currently has a database of more than 16,000 experts whose services may be called upon to assess applications for research project grants.

The deadline for application is November 18th, 2016

    Generally speaking, the applicant will be required to fill in a standard application form designated by the national agency managing the programme, and submit it with the required documents to the secretariat of the national agency or a host organization of the funding programme.

1. All applications must be trilateral, including Chinese, Dutch and UK.
2. Chinese applicants will be expected to submit through NSFC’s system with their associated costs.
3. Dutch and UK applicants must follow the requirements seperately from NWO and RCUK.
