Dragon-Star Plus will provide the EC and the Member States with tools for setting a long term cooperation strategy with China in research and innovation. The proposed activities take into account the current on-going policy dialogue and the peculiarities of the research and innovation environment in China, and are based upon the outputs and the established mechanism of the previous DRAGON-STAR project.

NSFC (China) - CNRS (France) Joint Research Projects 2016 offers a platform for collaboration between researchers in China and France. Funds for a contribution towards travel, subsistence and research expenses can be requested for either a one-off short visit to explore opportunities for building lasting networks or for bilateral visits to strengthen emerging collaborations.It covers all areas supported by NSFC and CNRS.NSFC funds a maximum of RMB 150,000 for 3 years.

NSFC – RFBR Joint Research Programme
   
   

The Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR)and NSFC singed the cooperation agreement. The fields of joint cooperation pregame focus on Mathematics, Mechanics and Informatics, Physics and Astronomy, Chemistry and Materials Sciences, Biology and Medical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Management Sciences, Telecommunications and Computer Science, Fundamentals of Engineering Sciences.

ESRC - NSFC Newton Call for collaborative research and networking opportunity
   
   

The ESRC and the National Science Foundation of China (NSFC) are pleased to invite proposals focusing on developing financial systems to support sustainable growth in China.The objective of this Newton Fund call will be to deliver three-year research funding for internationally competitive and innovative collaborative projects between researchers from China and the UK.The ESRC has allocated up to £2 million and NSFC has allocated 20 million RMB.

Getting Involved
   
    Generally speaking, the applicant will be required to fill in a standard application form designated by the national agency managing the programme, and submit it with the required documents to the secretariat of the national agency or a host organization of the funding programme.    
   
NSFC – CNRS Joint Research Programme
   
   

1. Applicants must submit your project proposal simultaneously to CNRS and NSFC.
2. The PI must be a PI or a core member of an existing NSFC project and the new collaboration project should have close connection with your existing NSFC project.

1. Applications may be submitted on the Chinese side by any scientists eligible for support in the framework of NSFC general funding scheme.
2. Russian side, applications maybe submitted by any scientists from Russian academies, universities and other related institutionseligible for the RFBR support.
3. Both sides need to sing cooperation agreement.

ESRC - NSFC Newton Call for collaborative research and networking opportunity

   
   

1. For each collaborative proposal, the UK and China lead partners should prepare a single case for support that should be submitted to both ESRC and NSFC.
2. Chinese applicants need to log in http://isisn.nsfc.gov.cn/egrantweb/ to fill the online form.
3. The UK application should be submitted through the UK Research Councils grant submission system Je-S (please see Je-S guidance below for further details).
