Dragon-Star Plus will provide the EC and the Member States with tools for setting a long term cooperation strategy with China in research and innovation. The proposed activities take into account the current on-going policy dialogue and the peculiarities of the research and innovation environment in China, and are based upon the outputs and the established mechanism of the previous DRAGON-STAR project.

NSFC – RSE Joint Research Programme

   
   

The NSFC – RSE Joint Project programme is designed to facilitate international collaboration between researchers based in Scotland and China. A grant is provided to researchers to cover travel, subsistence and research expenses.

Programme Xu Guangqi 2016
   
   

The goal of the Xu Guangqi programme is to develop collaborations between Chinese and French researchers working in laboratories affiliated to universities, research organisations or companies of both countries by supporting them in their initial phase of launching and development. Mobility of young researchers within the collaborations is particularly appreciated. All disciplinary fields are eligible, including Human and Social Sciences.

Community Involvement Projects for Waste Reduction Through Quantity-based Municipal Solid Waste Charging
   
   

The projects should be community-based and result-oriented, aiming to encourage all sectors in the community to try out how to implement quantity-based municipal solid waste (MSW) charging in the respective sectors with features that can help the waste producers to better understand the type and quantity of wastes they generate/dispose, to develop practices to help the waste producers get prepared for complying with MSW charging and to develop measures to reduce waste in order to pay less. Applications can be submitted throughout the year.

Getting Involved
   
    Generally speaking, the applicant will be required to fill in a standard application form designated by the national agency managing the programme, and submit it with the required documents to the secretariat of the national agency or a host organization of the funding programme.    
   
NSFC – RSE Joint Research Programme
   
   

1. Applicants should be principal investigators of on-going or completed NSFC research projects with duration of no less than 3 years.
2. The Project Leaders must be of at least postdoctoral status or equivalent.
3. Foreign researchers can join the application as individual partners, by signing the proposal or letter of guarantee to participate in the project.

Programme Xu Guangqi 2016
   
   

1. A final report is required no later than three months after the end of the projects.
2. French project leaders must use the downloadable report template and attach it to their record online within that time.
3. This report must also be sent to the Embassy of France in China in the same period (see contacts for the program).
4. Publications in the context of this project should be mention of the support granted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international development.
